Our Favorite Minnesota Things - Summer Edition

We hope you are enjoying the long days of summer and are spending every minute that you can outside.  These are some of the things we are most looking forward to this summer and want to share with you.

Here are 5 of our favorite things this summer:

. . . . .

1.

We are super stoked for the Wild Waters Music Festival to Save the Boundary Waters.  We are big fans of many of the acts on the bill and so excited to see them supporting the cause.

2.

We recommend you join 500+ riders on the Mahnomen section of the red dirt trails at the Cuyuna Lakes Crusher Race on August 18th.  We love that you can always tell when a biker has been on the Cuyuna Country State Regional Area trails from their deep-red stained tires.

3.

Books, beer, and coffee?  Yes, please.  We love the vibe of the newly opened Cream & Amber in downtown Hopkins, MN.  One of our new favorite places to relax on a Friday afternoon.

4.

Check out the Square Lake Film & Music Festival which features local Minnesota music and independent short films projected in a hay barn.  The festival is located on a 25-acre farm near the beautiful St. Croix Valley with a 'backyard bonfire' vibe.  Plus, they offer a discount to anyone that bikes to the festival.

5.

If you find yourself entering the Boundary Waters via Ely this summer plan your trip around the Ely Blueberry / Art Festival the last weekend in July.  This is one of Ely’s signature summer events, featuring more than 260 artists and crafters, 30 food vendors and local musicians.
